You can still participate in the auction! In 2016, the fight against cancer became a personal challenge for the Stanley family. Our patriarch, husband, father, leader, and friend was diagnosed with melanoma cancer on a vocal cord. In an industry where the voice is a craftsman's tool, one of the industry's leading auctioneers and auction owners was forced to live without the tool of his trade. Devastated yet determined, through stalwart work of The Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, Henry Stanley overcame the odds and, while, without his auctioneering voice, lives cancer free today. In 2017 Carolina Auto Auction's annual outing turned from an event for pleasure to an event with a cause. Supporting the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, the event raised over $15,000. The commitment to the cause has continued since then, as the industry and communities Henry has been apart of for 50 years joined the fight. In the end, over $600,000 for cancer research has been raised! So today we
begin the challenge of improving upon that success.
We invite you to join us for the "Carolina Auto Auction Legacy Dinner" with Keynote Speaker Chris Fowler from ESPN, and our "Tee-Off Against Cancer" Golf Tournament and Purple Ribbon Car Sale to be held on Sept 19-21, 2022. This will be a continued effort to support the research that has saved so many lives. This year we are proud to support both the Anderson University Center for Cancer Research, along with Winship Cancer Institute once again. With your participation and generosity, we are confident that our efforts will have an impact on our community for generations to come. Attached you will find the sponsorship level details along with a registration form for the event, a schedule of events of the week, and the tournament location information. We hope that you will be a part of our celebration and charge to make a change. We look forward to seeing you for dinner, on the links, and in the lanes the week of September 19th here in Anderson, SC.
With the warmest regards,
Eric Autenrieth
